Tacloban, Philippines, November 2013

On November 8, 2013, the coasts of the Leyte region of the Philippines were hit by Typhoon Haiyan (named Yolanda in the Philippines). Haiyan is considered one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded; winds of over 300 kilometers per hour and giant waves devastated neighborhoods in the city of Tacloban, killing thousands.
