The Biminis are located approximately 80 km east of Miami Beach. The islands are primarily known as a premier fishing destination. Being only 80 km from Miami, the archipelago's islands attract many American fishermen who arrive by boat. Diving is also a popular activity there, with numerous shipwrecks lying in the surrounding waters.
