Description
Honfleur is best known for its picturesque old harbor, characterized by houses with slate-covered facades, and for being depicted many times by artists, notably Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, and Claude Monet. This Honfleur School contributed to the emergence of the Impressionist movement.
